It's all what you want!

We know that choosing vendors can be one of the most complicated investments you make during your wedding planning.  Flowers, music, food, dresses and decor are just a few things you have to decide on! Also staying in your wedding budget can be a task no one wants to take on!  We have a few tips and suggestions we think might help you!

- Attend a wedding show:  By attending the wedding show you can visit many of the same type vendor and compare.  Choose your style and see photographers, bakers and decorator's actual work (or taste it!)  It will give you a chance to talk to the vendor as well and see if their personality and business if someone who might interest you!

- Ask Questions:  Nothing can run up a total bill of a wedding like "an extra 30 dollars for..." and "an extra $150 for delivery for..."  Make sure you are asking about extra fees like cake cuttings and delivery cost for your wedding cake.

- It's all about who you know:  When making decisions about which vendors you want for your wedding or party think about who you know and who you've had positive experiences with before.  If you've never had experience planning a wedding with a friend or family member think about the weddings you've attended.  Be careful about asking other's opinions though, theirs may be different than yours or in a different budget.

- Don't get crazy:  With Pinterest, Wedding Gawker, and the many choices of bridal magazines it can be easy to see LOTS of things you want to do at your wedding.  With hundreds of DIY crafts there are a lot of options to help keep a wedding on budget.  We suggest you choose your favorite crafts and ideas from those websites and magazines and print them out.  When you get ready to plan take a look at all of them and decide which ones are doable on your budget and time frame before your wedding. You can look at the photos and decide which ones are "must haves" to you on your day!

Light up the night!

Twin Maples is excited to share with potential brides and guests we can now light up your night with hundreds of lights!

These lights will be wrapped around and through our trees!  Clear Christmas type lights will be wrapped around the trees and we have purchased clear bulb lights which will be hung between trees, the stable, and the house.

With the round bulb lights you will be able to hang small decorations, such as paper lanterns, on them.  Hanging streamers, pieces of burlap, or material matching your wedding is another way the lights can be used to decorate for your event.

The lights will add a little something extra at our outdoor events!  We will post pictures when the lights are in place!  Please check out a few photos we have placed below of other venues, showing how we feel you can enhance your special day with our lights!   Click on the pictures to visit the site they originated from and get more ideas for your event at Twin Maples!

Keep checking back for more updates on this new addition to our property!

Disclaimer:  Twin Maples does not take credit for any of the photos, ideas, or websites we have posted about.  They were not taken at Twin Maples.  They are strictly for sharing ideas we feel our visitors could use.

Fall for Twin Maples

The trees are wrapped in white lights while tables are set with burlap and flowers under large Maple trees.  Enjoy your wedding and reception at Twin Maples Farmhouse & Stable and let the sunset and changing leaves create the picture perfect background for your fall wedding.

Located in the quaint town of Waynesville, NC in the Blue Ridge Mountains, we have the perfect natural landscape to host your fall wedding!  Bright yellow, orange and red leaves fill the property while the mountains covered in changing trees designs a timeless backdrop.  The changing leaves will accent you and your stunning wedding dress, flowers, and decorations on that special day.

Don’t forget about the endless photo opportunities with the fall leaves and trees.  Have your perfect portrait taken on the elegant white bridge crossing the stream or while swinging under a tree filled with canary yellow leaves.

The crisp fall mountain air gives you options to having your wedding or reception indoors in our rustic red barn or blue country farmhouse, as well as outdoors overlooking barn and trickling stream.

The farmhouse, barn, deck, and property can be decorated with white lights, flowers, candles, and hints of burlap to create a rustic-chic feel. A local bakery can assist you in choosing which sweet treats your guests will enjoy while a local florist can help you create one-of-a-kind bouquets, boutonnieres, and table arrangements.

Check out a few pictures of Twin Maples in the fall.  We hope you choose Twin Maples to help make your wedding day unforgettable.
